Dr. Jennifer Tate is a 1995 graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Dr. Jen has been practicing small animal medicine in the Sylvania area for the past 23 years. Dr. Jen is married and their family includes three dogs and a cat.

Dr. Nicole (Dively) Belcher graduated from the University of Findlay with an honors degree in animal science and then went on to graduate from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. Since graduation, Dr. Nicole has been practicing small animal medicine in the Sylvania area. She and her husband Andrew live with two dogs, a cat, and a guinea pig named Rosie.

Shannon (Longenecker) Westphal is a Toledo native. She attended the University of Toledo for undergraduate studies and graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. Go Rockets and Go Bucks! She lived and practiced small animal medicine in North Carolina the last 5 years but recently returned to the Toledo area with her husband (Nathan), son (Oliver) and cat (Ann Purrkins).

Michaela is our receptionist at TimberstoneVet and has been bringing her warmth and efficiency to the veterinary field since 2017. Born and raised in Toledo, she still calls it home with her husband, Matt. Michaela is a true family person, living close to her parents and cherishing time with her five fur babies: Mandalay (Husky Mix), Eddie (Lab Mix), and her three adorable cats, Linus, Snoopy, and Dunkin. When she’s not at work, you might find her crafting, capturing moments with her camera, or gaming. A dedicated hockey fan, Michaela cheers on the Toledo Walleye and Detroit Red Wings. Her favorite part of the job is the joy of meeting and greeting all the different pets that come through our doors.

As an administrative manager at TimberstoneVet, Maggie has been in the veterinary field since 2016. Hailing from Strongsville, Ohio, she now lives in Toledo and makes the most of her time visiting her out-of-town family whenever she can. Maggie shares her home with her three fur babies, Laney (a German Shepherd/Pit Mix), Dixie (a Labrador Retriever) and Verne(the kitty). Her free time is spent playing tennis, hitting the bingo hall, cross-stitching, and diving into a good book, though her favorite pastime is hanging out with her dogs. Maggie treasures the interactions with animals and their families and appreciates working with such a fantastic team.

Caitlin, a registered veterinary technician at TimberstoneVet, has been caring for animals since 2013. Originally from Ottawa Lake, Michigan, she now lives in Toledo with her husband, Will, and their two young boys, Asher and Jaxxon. Their family also includes four fur babies: Jesse (a sassy Chi Mix), Huxley (a lovable Pit/Lab Mix), and their two cats, Baby and Wally. Caitlin loves spending her free time solving puzzles, hitting the volleyball court, golfing, and enjoying quality moments with her family. What she loves most about her job is the chance to show compassion and care for our patients and clients.

Laura has been a dedicated veterinary technician since 1991. A Toledo native, she lives with her husband, Tom, and their four children: Adriana, Dylan, Maddie, and Jared. Their family also includes six fur babies: Arlo (a Cattle Dog/Husky Mix), Vinny (a mixed breed), Millie(a Golden Retriever mix) and three cats—Skittles, Princess, and Lucy Lou. Laura enjoys spending time with her family and dogs, reading, and finds joy in helping animals and meeting their families.

Mackenzie has been with TimberstoneVet since 2022 and is currently enrolled in the veterinary technician program at Stautzenberger. . From Belleville, Michigan, she now lives in Blissfield with her four pets: Cass (a mixed breed pup) and Whiskey, Roanoke, and Eileen (cats). When she’s not working, Mackenzie loves crocheting and watching TV to relax. She enjoys getting to know each patient’s unique personality.

Autumn is a veterinary assistant at TimberstoneVet who joined us in 2022. She lives in Deerfield, Michigan, with fiancee, Ben. Autumn shares her home with six cats!, Simba, Bookis and Bob are her indoor cats, and Cheeto, Janet and Buddy live in the barn! She loves connecting with the clients and getting to know their pet and enjoys trips to upper Michigan and raising farm animals.

Cherreen is a veterinary assistant with TimberstoneVet and has been in the field since 1995. She calls Swanton, Ohio home. She has a unique life outside work, raising llamas and alpacas—Zip, Special D, Snuggles, Nakota, Jeremia, Lacy, Princess, and June Bug. Cherreen also has a horse, a rabbit, five chickens, seven barn cats, three house cats, and Llevi, a Great Dane. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with Llevi, spinning yarn from her llamas’ fiber, and tending to her orchids. She finds joy in making each animal’s stay at the clinic as comfortable as possible.
